15 Cherish Drive in East Pennsboro Township was the site of this 3 alarm fire involving a large, single family dwelling. Companies were sent to the 19-01 Box (West Enola) around 1730 hours for a reported house fire. First arriving duty officer reported heavy fire showing. Arriving companies made an interior attack. 10 minutes into the fire, Command 5 ordered all crews to evacuate the structure. Shortly after that, 2nd and 3rd alarms were simultaneously struck bringing numerous Cumberland County companies and Perry County Engine 6 (Marysville). Master streams from Truck 17 (Midway) and 30 (Hampden) knocked down the bulk of fire that heavily involved the structure. Companies remained on the scene for extensive overhaul while a steady rain and thunderstorms rolled through the area.
