Friday, November 10, 2006 - Lower Paxton Township - Jonestown Rd

For the second time in 2 days companies from Lower Paxton Township and surrounding departments battled a working building fire. Crews were dispatched to 3920 Jonestown Road "The Oasis Club" on the 33 box for a fire alarm. Chief 33 (Shields) arrived with fire from the front door and heavy smoke from the roof. The one-story building was occupied with club patrons and employees when the fire broke out and all were able to escape. Crews went in service with an interior attack making a good stop on the fire. County Fire performed several PAR's to account for all members working on the fireground. All the companies who worked with this fire also battled a Nov. 8 church fire about a mile away which caused over a million dollars damage.
