Metro Harrisburg Fire Photos 2006
Saturday, March 4, 2006 - Swatara Township - Chambers Hill Rd
Around 0530 hours Dauphin County Box 456-1 was alerted for a residential fire alarm at 8091 Chambers Hill Road in Swatara Township. Command 456 arrived with heavy smoke from an occupied, 1.5 story, frame, dwelling. All occupants had escaped safely. Engine 45 arrived and laid in from a nearby hydrant in which several lines were stretched to battle the blaze. Command 456 requested Engine 41 to the scene as firefighters encountered heavy fire in the attic. Crews worked for almost an hour to contain the stubborn fire in cold temperatures.
