Harrisburg Fire Photos 2010
Sunday, August 1, 2010 - 16th and Market Streets - First Alarm
Box 1-4 companies summoned to 16th and Market Streets around 2230 hours for a building fire with entrapment. Responding units were advised of 4-5 people still inside the building. Chief 6 (Horst) made the quick trip down 16th Street with an exterior fire and confirming people still inside. A hand line quickly knocked the fire which was to the rear of a large, 3 story, apartment building. At least one occupant was removed by city crews to awaiting EMS. A first alarm and a special call for Engine 30 (Penbrook) were added to the assignment. No fire extension into the building but members used at least 2 fans to clear smoke.
