Harrisburg Fire Photos 2007
Sunday, October 7, 2007 - 221 N. 2nd St Street
Box 1-1 sent Squad 8 and Tower 3 to the rear of 221 N. Second Street for a van fire around 0830 hours. Responding from the S. 13th Street station, Squad Lt. 8 (Bair) reported a heavy thermal column with a clear view of the downtown coming down Market Street. He requested the structure box be filled out due to the size of the thermal column and the possibility of a structure being involved in the tightly packed downtown. Tower 3 arrived and reported a fully involved van and the rear of the building. Companies made a good knock on the fire, with lines from Tower 3 and Squad 8, preventing any further extension. Crews from Tower 1 and Wagon 4 checked the interior of the structures, primarily apartments over commercial properties, finding smoke but no fire extension.
