Sunday, January 1, 2006 - Hall Manor

Two fires in Harrisburg City and Swatara Township kept firefighters busy on New Year's Day. At 1702 hours Harrisburg A platoon crews were dispatched on Task Force 1 to the 54 Row of Hall Manor for a structure fire. While enroute units were advised of smoke showing from EMS. Chief 6 (Berger) arrived to a working fire on the first floor of a unoccupied, 2 story, public housing structure. A line was stretched from the Squad making a good hit on the room and contents fire. Crews cleared the scene in about an hour. Units on the scene: Wagon 4, Squad 8, Towers 1, 3.
