Harrisburg Fire Photos 2006
Monday, May 8, 2006 - S. 13th Street
At 0022 hours Task Force 1 dispatched to the 200 block of S. 13th Street for a reported structure fire. Harrisburg City Squad 8 arrived on location with heavy fire in (2) 3 story, brick structures rapidly extending. A second alarm was quickly struck as incoming units prepared for suppression and search operations. As heavy fire extended throughout the cockloft of at least 4 structures Command requested a 3rd alarm. Due to the heavy fire conditions firefighters were ordered out of the building and master streams from Towers 1 and 3 darkened down the fire. All members were accounted for after a PAR check. City and county firefighters remained on the scene for several hours performing extensive overhaul.
