Friday, January 20, 2012 - Mount Joy Township - Dwelling Fire
Around 0345 hours western Lancaster County companies dispatched to 990 Schwanger Road in Mount Joy Township for a dwelling fire. PD on location reporting a working fire with occupants still possible inside. Engine 701 (Rheems) arrived and reported heavy fire from the garage attached to a 2 story, single-family, dwelling. Two lines were stretched making a good knock on the fire. Truck 7-4 (Elizabethtown) went to the roof for ventilation and to open up to cut off extension. The fire was brought under control in about 40 minutes.
